The first and most famous cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, was launched back in 2009, but it has taken a pretty long time for industry to wake up to it. Now, it is a hot topic and everyone is talking about its underlying Blockchain technology as a major disruptor.

Speaking at the Event will be Chief of Staff Sian Jones from Company Credits:

Siân heads the commercial operations at private blockchain developer, Credits - the first and only platform provider awarded a UK Government G-Cloud framework agreement to supply blockchain-as-a-service. Credits builds enterprise/government-grade distributed ledger technology (DLT) that is highly scalable, interoperable and secure.

Siân founded regulatory compliance consultancy, COINsult, focused on digital currencies and consensus-based technologies. She advises fintech startups worldwide on regulatory, compliance and jurisdictional strategy, and helps governments and enterprises evaluate virtual currencies and distributed ledgers.

The Agenda will cover:

An overview and clarification of blockchain. Explain what blockchain is, its history, how it works, and what it can achieve. We will also look at policy and regulatory issues with the use of blockchain: in the UK, EU and wider afield. And, we will explore potential use cases and the importance of scalability, interoperability and security.

There will also be a demo Credits Blockchain as a Service, and also slides.
